The game actions is a visual system that assists in the gestual reading of the basketball game. the project is aimed at the television viewer who approaches this sport. The goal is to improve understanding and enjoyment of actions through the simplified reading of the signs.

The basketball referee is the only authority able to declare the correctness of an action performed, the only one that determines the correct course of the game and the attached rules. Referee signals during a game may be incomprehensible to new viewers. The perception time between a game irregularity and the referee's warning is too long, so much so that the game could have already started. The project was created with the aim of obtaining more accessibility and participation during television basketball games.

The project is in support of arbitration gestural communication. Visual communication and motion graphics allow the referee gesture to be described universally, determining the understanding of a technical irregularity or the stop of the game. The symbols of the arbitration gestures were designed by subdividing them into 3 groups: with a circumference construction grid the referee directions; violations and fouls with square construction grid. The colors recall the meaning of the symbol: blue indicates the neutrality of the symbol, an indication. Red indicates the danger and violence of the phallus itself. Orange is the intermediate color between the symbols and recalls a violation. The stylistic choice contracts on street communication. The symbols are placed next to the race status bar. The activation can be done through the motion capture of the referee or by activation by an expert inside the television direction or on the sideline table. Learning the symbols is exponential in respect to viewing the games.
